Let’s get one thing clear, right now.  English units suck.  I know, I know we were all raised with them.  But they really, really suck.  I figured this out when I first began writing my own brewing calculators in Excel (but that is for another post).  Let see, to convert ounces to pounds we divide by 16, unless of course we are talking about liquid ounces, and there is 128 of those in a gallon, which weighs 8.34 pounds…enough.

So, from now on I will post as I brew: in liters, kilograms, grams, and god yes, degrees Celsius.  OK, I might occasionally post some Fahrenheits now and again, but you will not see gallons and pounds ever again.
