So What’s on Tap?

What's on Tap - December 19, 2011

So no respectable brewery could start without a run down of what is on tap.  Despite that fact, we will do it anyway.  Starting on the left we have a Weizenbock, dubbed Weizenbock IV (so original).  It has gone on tap most recently, and despite the use of a Belgian Wit yeast it has a decent banana nose.  In the center we have San Francisco Steam, a California Common Style.  I purchased an Anchor Steam to compare this against, and while mine is a nice beer it is far from a clone of Anchor Steam.  I will talk about how  mine differs and how I might change it, but that is for another post.  Lastly, on the right, is Genessee Ted, a clone of a classic cream ale and and insult to a favorite Grateful Dead tune.  This is the first ever cream I have ever brewed, and I couldn’t be more pleased.  It is such a simple recipe, but it made a wonderful, simple, enjoyable beer.  The keg is very close to finished – I will be sad to see it go.
